Sanjay Singh is a member of the Committee on Political Affairs and National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party. He began his journey as a social worker and later ventured into politics. During elections, he was responsible for party affairs in the state of Punjab and was a key member of the Delhi Election Campaign Committee (DECC), formed during the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections.

Child Hood:

Sanjay Singh was born in the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He holds a diploma in Mining Engineering from the Orissa School of Mining Engineering in Keonjhar, Odisha. After completing his education, Singh didn't wish to pursue a regular 9-to-5 job. In 1994, he founded an organization called "Sultanpur Social Service Organization." He started working among the underprivileged by organizing blood donation camps, health camps, and campaigns for people's rights. During his 16 years of work with the organization, he had an interaction with the socialist leader Raghunath Thakur from the Democratic Socialist Party. Another organization he worked with was the "Azaad Sewa Samiti," which later became part of the National Hawkers' Association.


Sanjay Singh was among those who played a crucial role in the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party in 2012. He was a member of Team Anna and participated in the India Against Corruption movement. He also actively participated in the movement to clean the Gomti River through voluntary efforts and protested against corruption within the Clean Gomti River Project initiated by the Uttar Pradesh government.

During the party's campaign in Punjab in February 2017, Singh was appointed as the in-charge of the party's state unit. Under his leadership, the party emerged as the largest opposition party in Punjab and he became the leader of the opposition in the state's first electoral competition. Towards the end of that year, he was leading the campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party's local body elections in Uttar Pradesh. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Delhi on January 8, 2018.

The Aam Aadmi Party aims to change the traditional style of politics and transform the political landscape in the state. It serves as a significant platform for social service.


Sanjay Singh was raised by teachers, graduated from the Orissa School of Mining Engineering in Keonjhar with a diploma in mining engineering. He was a leader in promoting the rights of miners and was also a supporter of the rights of street vendors. Since the outset, he has tried to improve the lives of the people of Sultanpur and has voiced their concerns on several forums.
